You will be met by the Centre Director or a Senior Educational Consultant. After a brief chat with the family, the student will settle down to an age appropriate proprietary assessment. More than testing the student's competence, it is to establish where the gaps are in their understanding. Accumulating gaps often lead to problems in later years, as eloquently explained in the following video. The Math Minds Coaching system guides you to mastery learning using our own licensed tools.

Math's learning in year 10 to 12 is a little more complex. Now apart from re-enforcing maths foundational concepts there are exam preparation techniques that become very important. Year 10 and VCE assessment is conducted in the setting of a family chat, as everyone plays a vital part in the students success.

While the student is enjoying answering a few assessment questions, the Centre Director will give you an orientation of how we work. You will better appreciate how our Maths Rapid Learning Techniques make the Math Minds tutoring experience unique. We create an environment for learning to happen, both in the physical and in the mind space.

Like smell, taste, sight, touch and hearing, everyone has a number sense. You may not have had the opportunity to develop this to your full potential. Our findings at the end of the assessment will demonstrate how Math Minds can help.

The parent orientation, is a good time to get all your questions answered. You are with a mature parent, coach, councillor, educator, who has the life experience to have a frank and open discussion of what is best you. 

The assessment takes about an hour and is not a race with the clock. In complex cases we have spent over an hour, in recognition that Maths Learning has a life long impact on students. It often requires a family commitment.
