What is your VCE offering?

Our VCE sessions are held once a week for two hours each, at Blackburn or Balwyn North. No more than 4 students to a Coach, we cover what is being done in the students respective school. We expect them to do their homework at home and practice between sessions. All for a modest tuition fee of $60/hour.

We also cover exam and notes preparation, building a growth mindset and self confidence in attempting problems they may not have seen before. More and more testing is shifting to application of a concept rather than a test of one's memory.

It is not unusual for maths discussions to deviate into carrier or course counselling. All a necessary process to appreciate the relevance of the maths topic being discussed.

We have, on more than one occasion, taken a call from a student the night before their SAC or an exam, to ensure they are confident and well prepared. Going the extra mile and doing our very best is a value we hope to engender in our students by demonstrating it ourselves.

Did I tell you - we also teach them Maths! - General, Fundamental, Methods or Specialists.

Our Year 10 and VCE assessment is conducted in the setting of a family chat, as everyone plays a vital part in the student's success. We recognise we have very limited vacancies and may not be the right choice for you. So this is a no obligation one hour meeting where you get to meet us and we the student with their parents. We will be the first to suggest alternates best suited for the student, if we feel we are unable to add value.
