How do I book a Chat Tuition Session?

Once you are inside the parent portal, you can "Register" for a "class" and then select the class and the date you wish to attend. Just follow the instructions below.

You can always get to the parent portal from the website mathminds.com.au by clicking on Login at the top of the site.

You will receive an email confirmation of your drop-in booking. This will have all the instructions how to join the session on the day.

In the Parent Portal Home Page scroll to the bottom > Under Today's Schedule you will find the class you have booked. To join the class click on the Video Icon shown next to the class. 

At the appointed time you can "Join the Class". The first time you will be asked to accept the online Terms and Conditions. 

On the Magic School login page you will enter your full name exactly as registered with Math Minds. 

You must always enter Magic School from the parent portal. You are likely to be locked out if your name does not match or you have not entered Magic School from the parent portal.

There are different Coaches, each trained to best address your questions. They are all age and interest specific.

The student will now be taken to a chat interface and can ask a question or explanation of a topic or sub topic. The student can select the 'mic' input and speak out the question if they do not wish to type it. Or you can input a screenshot of the question. 

The student can choose to have the response 'read out aloud'.

Remember it is in the interaction with the coach that the true learning opportunity lies. So take your time, engage in the conversation respectfully and feel free to use 'please' and 'thank you'. It is remarkable how these magic words put your mind in a receptive learning mode!
